DuPont Performance Materials highlighted a number of lightweight solutions at the recently concluded VDI Plastics in Automotive Engineering 2016 conference.

– DuPont Hytrel thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) in jounce bumpers as a replacement for incumbent foam polyurethane (PU);
– DuPont Zytel nylon resin; DuPont Hytrel and DuPont Vamac ethylene acrylic elastomer for downsizing of engines.
